  12. Newport News, VA––nVIEW Corp. has announced the Luminator™ LCD projector,
  13. establishing a new performance standard for data/video projectors that will
  14. impact the way presentations are given around the world. The patented projector
  15. incorporates a single active-matrix LCD with 640 x 480 resolution and projects
  16. brilliant computer graphics and video from up to four sources simultaneously.
  17. The plug-and-play projector is one-third the weight of conventional 3-beam CRT
  18. projectors, and does not require any convergence procedure to use. The
  19. Luminator incorporates a 400 watt metal-halide lamp that generates brightness
  20. comparable to a CRT projector, and projects perfectly crisp 12-foot images from
  21. Macs, PCs, VCRs, camcorders, etc. The Luminator's suggested retail price is
  22. $9,995 and will be available at the end of September. The product will be shown
  23. during MacWorld Boston at nVIEW's booth in the Bayside Pavillion.
